My name is Marie Darwin and I am a Liverpool Beatles Guide, Historian and Author.

I am a huge Beatles fan and one of my earliest memories is of taking a Beatles book into my school to share with the other children.

​

In 1992 I qualified as a Nursery Nurse and I wanted to pass the Beatles story on to the children that I work with. I do this through words, activities and tours around Liverpool. 

​

In 2008 I qualified as a Beatles Tour Guide so that I could also pass the Beatles story to people of all ages and all nationalities. 

​

In 2015 I had the idea of writing a story about Paul McCartney that would be fun a factual and so along came 'Grandad Paul', my first book. 

​

In 2017, the story of 'John Lennon : The Early Years ' was written, both books are now being recognised in different parts of the world. 

 

In June 2018, I had the good fortune to personally meet Sir Paul McCartney in the Philharmonic Pub in Liverpool. He recognised my book and said " GOT IT... LOVE IT!! "

​

I am currently in the process of completing books further books in the Beatles series on George Harrison and Ringo Starr.

 

I am currently also writing works on local World War I hero Noel Chavasse and also Queen Elizabeth II.
